Rob Kopitzke, PT, MPI, NMR

President, Body Concepts, Inc. – PT, USACC, CPI

Rob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University, graduating cum Laude, in 1987. Additionally, he has extensive training in biomechanics of the foot and lower extremities. Two long-term manual therapy courses on the spine and a variety of other orthopedic-sports medicine courses round out his physical therapy training.

Rob became a USA Cycling Coach in 1994 and has since achieved the Elite level.

From 1994 to 1996 Rob worked with Brent Anderson MPT, OSC the founder of Polestar Pilates.

The human body was built to move and I’ve enjoyed helping people move again as a Physical Therapist since 1987 by incorporating thorough biomechanical analysis, manual therapy techniques, orthotic fabrication, postural training and flexibility-agility-balance-endurance-strength-and power based exercise programs.

As a competitive cyclist and Elite USA Cycling Coach I’ve specialized in working with cycling athletes since 1993 including testing, training and coaching. Pilates training has been a major influence since 1994 providing a significant advantage when addressing imbalances in the body including over 10-years experience working with dancers. I also enjoy working with ultra runners, adventure racers and Triathletes.

“Helping people understand they have the ability to prevent much of their pain and achieve their health and fitness goals is extremely rewarding and the reason why I love my job.”

Jesse Boyle, DPT

Jesse grew up in the Bay Area with a passion for many sports and outdoor activities. As a teenager, a broken ankle introduced him to both the devastation that can come with injury as well as the amazing rehabilitative world of physical therapy. Since that injury and recovery, he has been able to continue his passions without restriction; he still enjoys many activities like mountain biking, rock climbing, running, and backpacking/ camping.

Jesse received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with high honors from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in early 2021. Along the way, he has worked with athletes of all ages, coached high school track and cross country, and instructed various group fitness classes. Furthermore, he’s discovered many impactful, holistic practices including yoga, hot/cold immersion, and high-quality sleep hygiene. He now blends his movement-based, strength & conditioning background with a multi-systems approach, appropriate manual therapies, and extensive patient-centered education in order to create individualized treatment approaches and empower his patients to take control and thrive.

“I love using movement to help people continually re-define their perceptions of the limits of their physical capabilities.”

Ian Miller, DPT, CSCS

Ian is local to the Sacramento area and grew up in Roseville, CA. He was introduced to the field of physical therapy through multiple running related injuries in high school and that began a continued interest in the movement of the human body. Ian attended Chico State for his bachelors in Exercise Physiology, while there, he competed in collegiate triathlons and took several courses focused on strength and conditioning, nutrition, and volunteered his time with the athletic training staff. During school, Ian spent his free time running, cycling, hiking, and working at a running store.

Ian completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Sacramento State in 2023. While in school, he worked through completing additional courses on running biomechanics, running gait analysis, balance training in seniors, and strength and conditioning specialties. He completed his last clinical internship here at Body Concepts and was happy to continue on and begin his career at the clinic. His goal is to use a combination of exercise, manual therapy, and patient education to allow people to get back to moving at their best. He has a particular interest in helping endurance athletes return to their training and optimize their level of performance by assessing running form, bike fit, or any other injury limiting their ability to compete at their highest level.

“I enjoy giving people the tools to take control of their own health allowing them to achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.”
