Cyclebration 2009- Folsom Challenge Crit
We rocked the Folsom Challenge Crit again this year with our awesome team of volunteers!!!
Our day started at o-dark-30 (5am) driving down to the race course…with lightning strikes every 60-seconds or so I was really getting worried. This storm was not in the plans!
We had a great crew who threw everything up on the course on time and the first race started within a couple of minutes of stated first race start time…great job…things ran on time all day.
A couple of sprinkles, but nothing drinching, and cool weather all day was great vs. the potential sunny and high 90’s forcasted. Made for much more comfortable day for racers and organizers alike. We had 4-crashes through the day but only skin lost, no broken bones
). Everyone enjoyed watching the PC division racing with hand cycles this year…thanks for coming out to race with us.
The Lucas Cup was won byMatt Ream in style off the front…great race Masters 35+ 1-3…you did Richard proud!
With ~377 race entrants we nearly doubled last years attendence…hope we can do the same next year
)
We are open to feedback from racers/spectators for next years event…let us know how we can make it even better!
